Harsh jerking at slow speeds BMW M2

Hey Forum,

Haven't been here in a while...

My car slams itself into gear when I get on the throttle but not always, it's especially noticeable in comfort mode at lower speeds. It also happens if you emergency break heavily and get back on the throttle, feels like something is slamming very hard and makes a noticeable noise. I think it has always done it to a degree but its become way more violent in the past few months and seems to be getting worse. My LSD was replaced a year ago after it broke and I have a suspicion that this could be related to the LSD again?

I was wondering if anybody has had a similar problems with their M2/M3/M4?

That is obviously not normal. Dealer the car as soon as you can...maybe take it to a different dealership.

How did the LSD break initially?

So I read some info that it was a faulty part, I occasionally track the car and once or twice a year go on the skid pan and I've done a burnout like once ever, so I actually don't know how it broke...but it was replaced by BMW.

Yeah so I would do that but my next problem is i'm a little worried about a warranty issue...car is modded, I would revert it back to stock but a friend of mine got is warranty removed last month after removing everything 8 months prior.

take it in...if you're worried about your warranty..you have to do it sometime anyway

By waranty you mean motorplan or the general parts waranty?

Modding a car while under mp or with a waranty is always a risk. Tracking/hard launching will certainly contribute to wearing out the gearbox/diff.

Yeah I guess I will have to.

Something could be worn in the gearbox or LSD. Hoping its a bearing or some sort of bushing that can be replaced.

I didn't know there is a difference between general parts warranty and the motorplan?

does mplan state that you can't track your car???

Cause that would be retarded since an Mcar is designed to go on a track. :dunnoanymore:

I'm assuming this only happens in auto mode, and not in manual?
My car will never do that in auto, if the change speeds are 1 or 2.
Don't ever drive it with the change speeds at 3, so not sure if it would do it then.

Interesting fact, they share the same gearbox but don't have the the same drivelogic controller to change shift speed, it is set.
