Howsit guys,

I noticed that the wheels on my car have alot of stains...everytime when i go to visit the in-laws, their neighbour's dog pisses on it

What product would u guys suggest for removing the stains quickly and easily? I have the 18" msport wheel on my e90 so it's a mission to clean.

I'm not sure if this works for stains but I use Meguiars Hot Wheels mag cleaner for my ride. Shield also makes a mag cleaner that works pretty well.

I never use harsh cleaners, just wash my rims with the same meguiers shampoo I was my car, once a week. when I detail my car I do the wheels as well, this helps protect them.

Auto Finesse Iron Out works wonders on old stains and gathered brake dust etc. Use this to give the rims a good cleaning and then I just wash generally with whatever shampoo I'm using on the car.

The Imperial 1lt is ever better value for money, and I find it more useful as you can dilute it to the strength you need

PS. I would not use iron out as a dedicated wheel cleaner, I would

1. wash face and barrels with imperial wheel cleaner
2. Rinse and dry
3. Spray iron out on the wheel, let it sit for around 5 minutes
4. Agitate the iron out with a wheel brush
5. Rinse thoroughly

You''ll be surprised how much more iron it actually pulls out when agitated!

First try Wynns clean green, it's a very good all purpose cleaner. If its caked on brake dust etc you may want to use the AF Iron out or Valetpro Dragon's breath.

You could spray the area around your wheels with citronella oil mixed with water - dogs seem to dislike that smell and steer clear

As for the wheels, try to attack the worst of the dirt with a high pressure washer first.

Nor would I. Have only used it once when I bought the car as the wheels hadn't been cared for properly. Was worth the effort removing the wheels and giving them a deep cleaning.

Same thing with the missus's car but I can tell you that she perhaps cleans the car once every 2 weeks and the brake dust seems to react with the canine water works to the point it seems to eat into the finish on the rims making a yellowish stain that does not come out with clean green no matter how much you try...... Its when she goes to her mom's place that the hound does this!!! :hammerhead:
