Clean green is an all purpose cleaner which will never be as good as a designated wheel cleaner

Meguiars hot wheels tyre cleaner works like a boss!

I spray them onto my rims, leave them for a few minutes and then spray the rims with the hose (Karchar machine) the rim cleaner is so good, simply using the high-pressure hose removes all the dirt and there's hardly a need to physically wash it afterwards.

Wheels will always need agitation to get them 100% clean, especially around the lug nut holes/barrels.

Leaving these areas neglected will save you from having to refurb rims

PS. Meguiars hot rims is an excellent tire cleaner as well.

Seems you have it sorted then, forgive me for my insolence

You don't need dedicated wheel cleaner like Iron out or dragons breath on a regular basis. After the wheel's been decontaminated you should seal them up with wax, and you don't need expensive stuff. Then you should clean the wheel regularly like once a week at least to prevent build up. It helps to remove the wheels when cleaning, maybe not every week but once every six months i would say.
