Fog lights for E36: Yellow or clear

Hey guys

I'm considering putting lights in my fog light spacers - but was wondering, would you recommend the traditional yellow or rather clear lights? Should I be considering fog lights or use them as additional lighting?

Have there been recent advances that allows white light to penetrate fog?

Last fog lights I had were Hellas in the 90s.

Thanks!

When u say clear do u mean normal bulbs or crystal lenses?

Well I've seen those fog light spacers filled with either a yellow glass/tint or clear... does one get yellow bulbs and clear glass?

As far as I know it's just the lense that's tinted(yellow/smoked)

:withStu: The so-called Euro-Spec.. Have to say I hate it, from a pure aesthetics point of view.

Personally if you wanted a change the smoked crystals look way better than yellows......i like leaving the yellows to the vw honda boys. My 2c tho......Every man to his own

So basically if you want effective fog lights, its gonna have to be yellow - but if you want to compliment your headlight power you go clear?

Get normal fog lamps and then go buy yellow Lamix. Stick it on and then check if you like it.

I did mine a while back works 100%. And make sure to get lamix because it is thick which will help to keep the lense nice and smooth.

U could Google it to see what it would look like. I usually do this. Smoking/tinting the top(indicator and reverse light) of your tail lights also add a subtle but effective difference. If u zoom into the pic below you can see I have a very slight tint

Am I correct in saying, if you remove the yellow, then it isn't a fog light anymore?

Would you then call it a spot light?
