Fit electric windows to E30

Will the electric windows from a 325i fit into a 320i that has window winders ? I have all the parts from the 325i , just need to know if it is just a swop and plug in , is the wiring already there ?

The issue isn't whether they'll fit, it's whether you can wire them. You'd have to know what you're doing or fork out bucks to an auto-electrician. It'll work, definitely, but the wiring is the issue here. All the window mechanisms between E30's are interchangeable, except if either car has a different number of doors.

Thanks , both are 4 doors , both 1989 , If the wiring harnass is the same then I could fit everything ,connect switches and bobs yer uncle ! At the worst I suppose I would have to pull the wiring from the 325 and put it in the 320 .

Raybimmer I can give you the wiring diagram for standard up down control of your windows, Im not sure tho if the E30 has a control unit and a load limiter circuit (usually a black box with all the wiring teminating into it), you may need to pull that from a 325i...if there is a control unit then bob is yer uncle cos all you will need is a power feed...
