I finally picked up my 320i from BMW pre owned on Friday.

I drove her over 150km this weekend and I am as happy as can be!

I have a few mods in mind, first would be to Plasti Dip the kidneys black.

Here are some pictures:

Very nice. Congrats.

Why plastidip? They will eventually peel and look ugly. My advice: use something permanent like Duplicolor.

Hmmm... You actually right. This is a permanent change so why not go permanent...

Maybe I should then go for something gun metal rather than black?

Whatever colour meets your fancy. Be different and go bubblegum pink

Gloss black would look stunning.

Vinyl is definitely an option, but how do I vinyl the inner trim? :/ The part on the bonnet would be easy to vinyl, but the chrome parts of the bottom pieces...

Plastisip does NOT peel, if applied correctly, I did mine 2 years ago, and it still looks the same. No peeling or fading.

+1 I have it on my wheels(+- 4 months), black body trim(+- 10 months), kidneys and aircon grill (+- 2 years) no peeling. If you take you time and do it properly.

I am tempted to do change wheel colour as well.

But plasti dip is limited in the available colour. Is there a gun metal plasti dip on the market?

Yes but it does not look like gun metal just like a flat dark grey.

Going 2 years also, Plasti-Dip looks new still.

Just dont buy the cheap knock off's.

Nice ride.

Don't go anywhere near Cape Town after the kidneys have been blackened. The local Nazis will confiscate your license disc for unofficial non-approved modifications on the grounds that you are a suspected street racer. :roflol:

Does anyone know of a good supplier in Pretoria? :/ I can order from auto style but would be cool if there was a shop closer.
