F30 320i M Performance Edition

Hi,

Thinking of trading in the S3 for the above. Reasons for this:

The BMW looks awesome
Interior is so much better than the Audi
Much better daily drive due to lower insurance costs and fuel efficiency as well as more comfortable drive.
Think I'm over the modding car phase for now

Specs:
As title states
Brand new
Silver
Auto
R530k

Do any power freaks here have a 320i, if so, any feedback will be appreciated. Any issues, any nagging characteristics, things I should watch out for, etc

Much appreciated

Nice man, flip is that what they going for nowadays!!!

I drove a friends 320i, before I got 335, I was quite impressed with the power it had.

Just remember your front lip when parking, going over speed bumps and certain driveways

Good luck with new car

Be prepared to lose R250k in 2 years time. Ask me how I know.

Truth be told, the engine and auto tranny on these cars are brilliant and they do look good. They very economical as well.

I was just never 100% into the one I had, I had the Sport version with all the bells and whistles, but hated the seating position / comfort.

If I was you, however, I'd see if I can get a low mileage 2nd hand one. There's looots of these on the road and resale suffers because of this. At least if you get a newish low miler, the previous guy took the knock so you don't have to

Hi, yep that's the price now. Don't you think that's too much

I suppose it's normal i paid about 80k more in July 13 and have the 335, the difference is that the MPerf accessories had just come out so I bought them through the dealership and had them fitted. The resale advantage you will have is that it's an actual model, where my extras are add ons.

But maybe do yourself a favour price a normal 320i MSport and then price the MPerf accessories, you may even not want some. I personally think the package is overpriced and its cheaper to add them on, but I'm basing my argument on prices from a year ago, I might be wrong.

Then I was actually keen on getting a low mileage 335 then but there were so few around and the price I paid for a new one after discount was exactly on par with a 20000km 335 which had a extras that I really wasn't interested in. So maybe look at a 328 even a 335, you might find one at that price, bearing in mind it won't probably won't have the MPerf accessories, but you can always add them on.

Good luck

Points noted. I'm look at brand new due to the trade assist needed on the Audi.. All brands lose value, that's someting we have to live with. Reason for not going higher up the range is that this car is meant to be the daily.

Looking at the bruiser next year, R8, GTR, new M3 or 911 Turbo.

I have owned some decent cars but this car quality and interior blows me away.
Been looking for some me pre owned models and they not as cheap as we expect. 2012 320i Msport at R360k. That's with no trade assist.

Mine is daily drive!!

Just do it then, sounds good, mine became a spur of the moment decision, order my car on a Tuesday 18:00 on my way home from the dealership, supposed to wait 3 months, next day they had found one to my spec, by the Saturday I was driving it!

Gorgeous car I have the 328i with all the M-perfromance goodies and wheels on.

And yes be careful with the lip.. I havent found a speedbump that is big enough for the lip to actually touch, I bumped mine on the pavement yesterday though while parking, its a little scratched now and Im so damn upset, if I cant get the tiny little scratch polished out then imma spray the lip white like most guys are doing these days.

Bro, is your M-Sport Lip not matt black? If it is, I am sure some PlastiDip can help?

Yeah it is matt black... Im thinking of plasti dipping the whole thing for extra protection. Look the scratch on it is barely 1cm long, Its not noticeable unless u stand right in front of the bumper... but i know its there which bothers me.

Got some PlastiDip in my boot, let me know if you keen to try it. PM your location...can see if it is cool then blast the entire thing after that rather than go buck first lol
