F20 125i trouble, again!

Whining sound from the engine bay - I thought it was the turbo. Turns out it has something to do with the oil pump.

Car will be booked in for either an oil pump change or engine REPLACEMENT!!!

Anyone else had this issue?

Car was in for a week for FEM about a month ago. Very un-BMW like I think...

Mine ... 30k kms Oil pump whine/failure , bearings damaged ... New engine from germany.
waiting for 2 months now to get my car back ...

The oil issue worries me a bit. My car is due for a service in 2200km but it's for brakes. What do the agents typically say if a client insists on oil change if the stupid car doesn't ask for it?

They wont do it.

However, they will do it if you offer to pay for it.

How many arms and legs they want for that? That's crap though cause if you change oil more regularly the MP will never pay for an oil service.

No.. you keep your scheduled services.

You change every 7,500, you pay for one, let motorplan pay for one.

Precisely they want the motor to break come 100 000 kms so they can sell you another BMW. I know they used Engen at my last service as thyey said Castrol was causing sludge. I wonder if the dealers are now using Shell as they have signed an agreement.

Hmm interesting I just got a letter which says my car will be repaired by this Friday something smells fishy as they will source and fit the engine from Germany in less then a week?

Hmm interesting I just got a letter which says my car will be repaired by this Friday something smells fishy as they will source and fit the engine from Germany in less then a week?

They did not replace the engine afterall.
Regardless, the car is now in for insurance assessment due to water damage. Let's see...
