So the parts arrived from ABM today, great service from JP and team...

Bearings, connecting rod bolts, oil + filter and new sump gasket.

Also received her first wash this weekend

Then I couldn't bear to touch the steering wheel in the condition it was, so a deep clean was needed!

I will be dropping the car off this afternoon for the bearing work as well as a full inspection..

That steering wheel does look quite siff before the clean

@gavsadler yeah the wheel definitely needed a decon! I'm having the work done by Dubcorp in Durban.. The owner has been a mate for a while now, quality workmanship always.

Hi All,

After an awesome trip, it's time for an update. As mentioned, the bearings were replaced while I was away, and it seems like I was on borrowed time :fencelook:. Either way, happy to have confidence that they are now done.

Luckily the crank was still fine.

Worn mountings were also replaced

Next up will hopefully be a detail since the paintwork is in a sorry state...

Thankfully you had them sorted, before they damaged the crank and you can now enjoy the car with peace of mind.. Great work! :bravo:
