What a weekend of racing at Zwartkops raceway, had a blast!

So happy and impressed with my E90 build, although had some critics down the build that its the wrong car for a track car, to heavy and lots of other comments, however I cant be more happy and impressed with the e90! its extremely reliable and so much fun to drive!

Had qualifying on Friday, moved from class E to class D with my first practice session!
Race 1 - 3de in Class D
Race 2 - 4th in Class D
Fastest time: 1min12.45sec
Few action video's below:

Wow how close was that Close Call! Well done, looks like a lot of fun :)

What app/device are you using to read out the times?

Which video? .... me drifting or the black E90 sliding past me .... LOL
I must say, it looked allot closer om the video than what it felt in the car, luckily I saw him coming, but yes it was a close shave!

I use track addict, this is the first time Ive hear the "voice" on the app.... in the car can only hear the motor screaming! But yes its huge amount of fun!

Yeah the one with the black E90 sliding in front of you, looked pretty choreographed

I didnt know track addict had that function, I also use it but its probably drowned out by the motor lol

Hi. How are you finding your lsd conversion?
Its not bad, surprisingly its holding up very good... did a hand check this weekend while the car was in the air and it still feels the same as when it was fitted. Even on the track it still feels pretty solid, Although on the lower power cars we have found does not make that huge of a difference

Made some bonnet air-vents to get rid of the high temperature air under the bonnet.

Driver side air vent is getting so hot after a race, cant even touch it... shows it working! Passenger side also hot, but get blocked by the huge airbox.

Working on a few different air vent designs

How did you get the angle of the fins? Guess and hope for the best or did you get it from somewhere? We have also been looking at something like this but I know there is a specific angle to use that not only helps with scavenging hot air but also helps with front downforce. Can't remember what that angle is.

To be honest... I've just bend them to what I've seeing on some other cars.... and seems to work. Will test them next time with some tape and thin rope, to see how well they really work

Some race action from the BMW ///M Performance Parts Series from this weekend at Zwartkops raceway
Had some tough competition and great fun!

Seems like my E90 and the black E90 is somehow connected with a magnetic field... the 330i 's are so equally matched and always results in very close racing

Busy with some serious mods for our 2024 race season,
Changed front bumper to orange, hope for at least 0.5sec per lap faster

A few videos of last weekend's racing at Zawrtkops, BMW M Performance Parts racing!

Class D is extremely competitive as our cars perform overall very similar, causing pushing very hard and two spin offs right in front of me:

Unfortunately race 1 had to me split in two parts due to a huge accident at turn 4 and race 2 was red flagged due to a huge storm with lightning.

Looking forward to our next race, again at Zwartkops 1-2 March

What is weekend!!
The BMW E90 330i at its best!
Managed a 2nd place in the first race and 3de in the second race with some bad luck... however supper happy with the results!
Also did my personal best time around Zwartkops with my E90 - 1min12.3sec -

Unfortunately I didnt record the races, but check this link of another E90 330i, chasing me until the second last corner

Almost had an incident around min 5... check it out!
