Nice seats Andy! Wonder where you got the idea from?
May I ask what MD House charged you for those seats?
Does this mean you going to delete the rear seat now as access is now somewhat limited?
There's a possibility I may have M3 black door cards and rear cards to get rid of the red/black combo.

I've been wanting to do it ever since I saw you do it :) Initially they asked R7k each but I got them for R5k each in the end.

I also quite like the red door cards. It's grown on me. Along with the other mods Kabal did.

Some new goodies for her

I've been experiencing a strange jerk or hesitation during acceleration at random rpms. Sometime from 4000 odd rpm sometimes a bit higher and sometimes a bit lower. Almost like the car doesn't know what power setting im demanding. Sometimes even at a steady throttle setting while accelerating it would feel like you put foot tap off and go again.

I thought id swap out the upper tps throttle position sensor with the z4m. Low and behold it virtually cured it!

Part number 1 363 784 0383. Bmw price is just over R1315. But Gert at Obd worx can source it for much cheaper.

Thought id post some pics of the diy. Its a 5 minute job and the car has already done 50km more on a tank and im not half way yet.

Thats right the engine is not only running smoother it feels stronger and is definitely more frugal!

Heat cycles get to them. I'm going to even do the Z4M ones.Very cost effective maintenance item. I've calculated that the sensor will have paid for itself by 6 tanks on the M3 :)

Andy, please do us a favour, put the Textar and OEM pads side by side and take some pics please.

I have found the Textar replacements to be 5% smaller in area compared to OEM. I have not checked for the M3 though.....

I find that strange bud. Many of the BMW pads actually have Textar on them...

Yes I know. My E36 M3 OEM pads are Textar.

When I bought Textar replacements for the E36 328i, the Textar pad area was about 5 % smaller than the OEM's!!!

Wow, you referring to the thickness or surface area?

Surface area. See below. Ordered the proper part number too. Correlated part number on brake book.com - I think that's the Textar website.

Sorry for the hijack Andy.

Very Interesting. I never checked when I replaced the Z4M pads. Textar from BMW under motorplan as well. I'll check the M3 ones and post here when I do it. Won't be for another while though.

Yup, that's very worn. You can actually see the drag marks where the wiper makes contact with the plastic/carbon film surface
