2 hours after I took that video the stock box was back on. So that's the only footage I have of the "custom box" which is probably for sale to someone brave enough.

wow, looks stunning andy. Did you choose to go for the non stepped tail pieces?

Are the inner headlights laminex'd and have yellow bulbs?

Thanks for all the compliments guys :) I can't take all the credit. Credit is due to Riaan and Shane for taking such good care of her as well.

@Sash the OEM tips are flush and not staggered so I opted to keep that look which I like. I think on cars that only have 2 tips the staggered look is the business. Like my prev E90 has.

The headlights, the inner chrome pieces are painted yellow. Shane went for the euro look which has grown on me. A lot of detail has gone into creating the look so I won't spoil it. Yellow calipers, smoked repeaters, indicators and side grills etc..

So today I changed the oil and filter on the car. Very prematurely. I think the current LM GT1 oil only did like 3000km if that.

Main reason being I want run thinner oil and also add Ceratec on a fresh oil change. This will probably last me until I decide to change the rod bearings or not.

My Z4M and 4Pipers M3

http://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=42317

Just as a reference for data other than dyno figures.

I note that between this M3 and the other 3 S54's above there is one big difference. This dyno the car only managed 143kmh (FR+R) and the other 3 managed 154 and 156kmh (KAR)

I suspect this could be calibration difference between the dynos and operators.

The only other reference I have is a Dyno Riaan made at KAR while it had software on. 183wkw modded and 186wkw stock iirc.

Oh and this one the dyno stops at 7500rpm and not 8000rpm. That 500rpm could make up that 10kmh difference.

Nice! Many people enjoy the new car feeling, I enjoy the process getting it to that point rather

Andy is addicted to that very point you referring to,lol...I think iam gonna do mine this weekend...jus refresh my mind again? Throttle body cleaner, Q20 and some knuckle grease yes?:=):

Good job mate!

Yes pretty much. I used the Liqui moly throttle body cleaner from Moranor (AXIS)

Q20 and possibly some hose clamps for the ICV pipe if you decide to do that. The original ones are like one time use.

The clips on the intake manifold easily re useable. A nice pair of pliers does the trick. Once you have the knack for it it goes quickly.

Andy you need to show me. I've used cable ties, normal clamps etc, just cant get it to work...

Decided to have a go at rejuvinating the worn bolsters a bit before trying to source other seats or having them re trimmed.

Also want to add that I only cleaned them up, and applied a single layer of paint over the bolsters. Want to have another go later on. Will wait for the paint to settle in and then soften the leather up again, clean it and repaint again.

I was lucky enough to drive this car on the weekend when Andy paid me a little visit to deliver some oil for my E46 M3. Dude... this car drives so smooth and well. What a beauty.

Congrats man, she is a great car.
