Guys, need some insight please?
My baby (2001 325i manual) has recently developed a vibration at around 3000rpm that can be felt in the floor and is worse under load.
Had a look under the car and noticed that one of the front diff mount bushes were cracked. Replaced that yesterday and checked the other "usual suspects", i.e. prop centre bearing, flex disk... it all looked fine.
After the bush change and reassembly, took it for a drive and the vibration is still there.
My car is a long distance runner and is currently pushing close on 400k mileage on the original motor. Besides the vibration, she runs like a beauty. I suppose u-joints on the prop could also be suspect at this mileage and will have to get that checked.
Any other suggestions / opinion would be greatly appreciated?
