Just a little update, recent fixes include a brand new p/s pump and ZF reconditioned steering rack.
She will be back for the hi end sound upgrade that I will be doing in a few weeks time. Might just do my touring at the same time.
Update, I have just finished with the M3 LSD conversion, now it can be classed as a "fast wagon". I and the owner are very happy with the results.
Old rear end.
Old 325i brakes.
Stripping the old stuff out.
M3 subframe going in.
Engine degreaser and elbow grease, a good mix of both...
Because of the different length of the M3 propshaft I had to change out the shorter E90 323i gearbox for a E87 130i gearbox which is the same length as the M3 gearbox. I used a E46 330i 6spd crossmember and gearbox bracket along with customised shifter linkages and short shift lever. The new gearbox shifts better than the old one fortunately.
Rusty, but big! Had to swap the 16" spare wheel for a 17" as the big brakes all round deem the 16" useless now.
this is truly an impressive build that I only viewed for the first time today and actually started from page 1 till the end. I am very interested in a few changes Gizmo added to the car as I am buying a BMW E46 320d (2002) and would like to add the sportpack bumper and those awesome looking Bi Xenon headlights. raise:
