Please check spark plug 1 and 3 and oil pump, water pump, thermostat, sump gasket, windshield washer bottle and when you finish wasting your time with all that, please see the rules, then post an intro thread and then request for assistance...

I don't think you addressed this in the correct way.

Oil is mixing in the engine - it's the head gasket.
Oil mixing in the radiator - it's the oil cooler.

From on top of your high horse, could you please link the part that says its mandatory to post an Intro thread before asking a question.

That was a shitty response.

To the OP, what was the reason for your rebuild to begin with?

OP, welcome

Any more info why the engine was redone? hopefully there wasnt an overheating incident.

get a compression and leak down test if you can

Oil and water mixing happens sometimes , It could be your transmission cooler that's leaking if you cars an Automatic , Its that silver box that's attached to the bottom left corner of your radiator (On my E46 that's where it is ) . At the bottom . Its not costly to repair and it is prone to leaking im told , although I have only changed mine once since new. ( I don't know how but something fails inside . ) Buy original BMW , its not expensive and is worth it.

Engine oil cooler im told leaks as well , I haven't personally worked on this part on my car but I was told its not that big a job to change. On my E46 its at the top (I think) It looks similar to the transmission oil cooler .

Where are you finding the water? Is it in the engine or radiator expansion tank?

I think , but others please please correct me if im wrong but If the head gasket is gone , you should do a pressure test on it to make sure .

Hope you come right . Its a terrible feeling seeing oil and water mix on a car.

Welcome OP

It is usually a good idea to post an introduction about yourself, your car and where you are from. Please also search as this has been discussed a few times.

You have some options members have offered help on above. I suggest you look at those and feedback here. You might want to add detailed info on why the motor failed, what was done by your workshop and engineers and what was possibly recommended to you by them that was not done.
