diy e46 Mtech2 Advice

Hey guys needs some advice im in the market for mtech2 bumpers for my FL e46. I see there are plenty non oem stock floating around pricing is not too bad my concern is fitment. Going to drive me made If I cant get the bumpers to line up nicely with fenders and body.

Anyone have experience here? maybe a specific retailer that's got good non oem stuff that fits well?

Alternatively can look for cars being stripped but for the most part those bumpers look so wasted and will require more than a respray anyways. Would love oem bumpers but just too pricey for me.

Regrettably, Fitment on Aftermarket Parts will always be an issue.
The plastics used on aftermarkets are flimsy.
Why i nevered kept me an Original Mtech 2 front bumper from all the E46s i parted out, I honestly dont know. lol

You better off looking for someone parting out an Mtech2 and getting all parts you need from there.
I sold Bumpers complete Front/Rear, side Skirts, Boot fin, Bumper brackets and all the clips needed for lik R11000. But if i recall, I think that price included Headlights and Indicator Lenses. I cant remember. Was a while ago. but thats just to give you an Idea

yh those waves are exactly what im trying to avoid. at least the bumper lined up very well with the fender and arch though that looks great

keep in mind - you will need brake ducts for the 330i Mtech 2 and a different bumper cradle ...these are like 10k -15k from the dealer.

most guys end up cutting the center cradle (as it shows through the lower mtech2 bumper grill)

take your time and hold out for the originals ... I saw OEM FL Ci Mtec kit I wanted to buy for R6k and I dont even have a Ci

BMW is currently running a promotion on e46 body parts and accessories. Might just be worth your while giving your local dealership a call.

I heard about this gave them a shout this week but no luck on mtech2 bumpers would've been perfect timing lol

Yeah I would hold out for a M-tech being stripped and get all the OEM parts you need (bumper sliders, etc) - they pop up quite often
