Mr Smit,

No offence taken...besides - if your car was human, it would probably be one of those pretty boys like Brad Pitt or the Tatum oke.

I must say, that's a healthy bump on power to weight ratio...insane actually.

Im subbed on this one. Keep it up!!! :clapper:

De puta

It was fabricated by a manufacturer in Pta area, who supplies ADF.

I had a look at quite a few c/f skinned doors as well f/g doors, these guys fabricates the best looking doors of all. Cost per door is about R3000

I would like to mention that I learned this past week that ADF was actually a previous business in which Freddie Pretorius traded in motorsport.

His current business is actually known as Fast Development, all the old clients just still refer to ADF.

Anyhow, I dropped of the M3 today to have the last lot of mods and fine tuning done.

Mr Smit if you dont mind sharing could you please forward me his details really keen on doing the door panels etc.

I would love to know where you got your car corner balanced, as every guy I take my car too isn't equipped to be able to help me or just doesn't know what he is doing as he is only used to factory suspension setups. I've even gone to some of the aftermarket suspension places and they couldn't even help me. So I just left my car a little more aggressive than a stock CSL, but want to get a proper track setup going for my track days.

I have Turner Motorsports Camber Plates, PSS 10 B16 adjustable coilovers (10 steps), 3 way adjustable sway bars (thicker than stock) with the endlinks (front and back), as well as rear adjustable camber bars. No one is able to help me with setting up my car.

I had one guy give me back my car with negative 3.5 at front left side, then negative 1.4 on the front right.

Its like these morons don't know what they are doing and I sit there having to take over from them and try realign everything myself.

So I would appreciate having a proper shop help me with my setup.

Thanks.

ADF motorsport can do that for you, or whatever they are called now.

The other place I know of is MIKEM suspensions, I don't know if they have scales for corner weighting, but they have shock dynos and revalve most suspensions to your spec, so it might not be a stretch for them to corner balance.

If all else fails I can ask my old lecturer if I can use the scales they use to set up the baja bugs and do it for you. But let's keep that as a last resort.

Thanks Carbon, I've been to ADF but never for suspension. Interesting.

I'll give them a call soon and go past again.

Also, I appreciate your offer to help. THANK YOU.

De puta, if you want to have the doors done then you need to fit a roll cage, or else you are dead meat in a side impact smash.

Call freddie at (083) 5077141

Nemises, just ask Freddie, he is a setup expert. Just remember that will never be race car good, as it is way overweight!! But yes, you can make it much better

There are ways around that. It would require a collapsing aluminium honeycomb and kevlar structure inside the door to dissipate the engrgy. This would add less weight than a cage and would only make sense on a road car. It would also obviously add to the cost.

On a race car you would want want the stiffness and safety of a cage anyway.

Carbon, yes I agree

Everybody thinking of getting lighter doors or lighter seats or lighter whatever, it is not one or two components you have lightened that does the trick, it is the combined efect of a complete strip down of everything you do not need.

One thing is for sure, a car that is 100kg lighter than its standard cousin, will accelerate, turn and brake better, and a car that is 200kg lighter, even more, etc etc.

Saving weight is always a great performance upgrade.
