E39 M5 Problems

i've seen Loads of threads discussing the e46 m3 and it gives us a good idea at what to look out for incse you wanna purchase one, but nobody discusses the e39 M5, another smart ///M, iam interested in. A quick run through the internet i found a few, things and i know there are some gents with experience on the forum, so please share

I saw stuff like: weak Clutch, Using of oil (more than usual ), vanos problems, etc. stuff like that :=):

• Clutch

• Listen for Vanos noises

• Bushings

• Prop-shaft coupling

• MAF sensors

• CPS

• Oil (V8's use oil, so make sure it's filled up properly. All the time)

• Gearbox (an expensive R91k replacement)

• Oil leaks

• Rear-view mirror. Check for crystal leak and if the mirror dims in bright sunlight
