I still maintain that you own the cleanest E39 in existence. Much love!

Appreciated, but alas, there's Johann's Facelift 540i6, one of the cleanest and winner of a concourse if memory serves. BTW, where is Johann (venterj) ?

Ah,the E39,the timeless classic. These are still head turners today, and never look out of place anywhere.I remember when the E60 came out and Top Gear did the review,James May mentioned somewhere along the line that the E39 was going to be a tough act to follow.
The 540i still has one of the meanest sounding V8's around, and well the M5,that is still on my bucket list to own,one day.....:praise:
To all the E39 owners,I envy you!And Rob,55,000km's,you got some explaining to do!:roflol: Congrats on your new car!

DAMM...we must never park side by side, as we might mistake each others cars, same colour, same wheels

The E39 is a lovely looking motor, and is okay to drive.

Bought my E39 from a fellow forum member, it is still a beast! Sadly has a problem, love affair with petrol stations, needs to busy too often.
With “only” 222000km’s on the clock

Dad is currently using it, while his E24 is been “restored”

Looking for a E39 Touring as a second car later this year, for dad to use during the week
(Would love to own a 540 touring (only 3 in SA – there is one in East London))

E39 feels like a tank/lorry to drive after the Z4.

I still prefer the feed back of the drive of my E34 over the E39 , both are 540i’s

What I’ve read of reviews on the E39 the 528I is the better one the bunch

The first time I saw the car I thought almost the exact same thing!
