e46 was still built after the e39 :fencelook:

Thats why I said "One of"

E46 is a fantastic car as well!

As much as I really love the E46, I have to agree with the sentiment of this thread regarding the E39. So ahead of its time, so solid, amazing build quality.

guys for any of you wanting to get a e39, the time is now. they have reached ROCK BOTTOM In value.

decent 528i's for 40k-50kish

facelift 530d's 525i's 530's for 60-80ish

tourings for 50-60ish

trouble is...they cant really be financed..too old. and this is why they are
so hard to sell.

my 01 525i in manual (topaz blue) i sold with 190 000km. car was in good condition. sold it for 55k but its not a 55k car if you know what i mean.

I wonder if anyone can clarify this, in the Facelift there were Exclusive models as standard, then Sport Pack and Individual, looking at the exterior of the car how does one tell the difference from Sport to individual ?

I know that the metallic/pearl body paint colors is one way of telling the two apart :fencelook:

Best I know is the difference between the sportpack and the Individuals was the choice of exterior paint and interior trim from the "Individual pallete"...dont think there were any other physical differences apart from the Individual door sills.

Some say steering wheels as well :fencelook:

I've got an Individual, the steering is the 3 spoke Motorsport item. Pretty sure its the same in the Sportpack....

The E46's has got some differences between the Sportpack, Motorsport and Individual. Like the M-Tec1 and M-tec2 bumpers and the steerings. Not so clued up on the e46's, sure someone will clarify....

There was another steering wheel available as well

Which style was this?

I've seen on some of the pre-facelift 540's a steering that looks similar/same to the one that is on the M5.
