I am currently busy with a E36 328i track car conversion. After stripping out the interior, I did an Auto to manual conversion. I then got the car turning over using the key and it started and ran but ran very badly and would not rev.
I then took the coils off only to discover the spark plug chambers were full of water. After cleaning them out I fitted new plugs. I have also fitted a new fuel filter and oil and oil filter. Still no luck. The car will not start now.
If I spray quick start into the intake it starts and will run as long as I continue to spray quick start into the intake.
The injectors are pulsing as I removed them and they took turns spraying fuel.
The fuel pump is getting power and is running.
New Bosch crank and cam sensors have been fitted also.
I unfortunately dont have a scan tool to read codes.
I am a complete novice so any suggestions or help would be appreciated?
I have to load it onto a trailer this weekend, to take it to the cage builder.... I will be doing this alone so it would be great/easier if I could drive it up.
Thank you.
