Stealers do sell BMW branded NGK as a better option at some stupid price, ask at the parts counter what one it is for your car, then go get the same at Midas.

In some Japanese cars the NGK iridium plugs are only changed every 100000Km!

There are only two things I think the Japanese make much better than the Germans, and those are spark plugs and tyres.

Guys I have an issue bought plugs from the stealer because Midas was selling me the F7LDCR plug which I know is meant for the 325i. But i messed up and bought FGR7DQP+ plug from the stealer. Now I'm worried that this plug is also wrong because the 328's actually plug is the F8LDCR, now the difference in the number is the heat range, F7 is a colder plug. Has anyone used a F7 type plug in the M52. Because the FGR7DQP is for the M52TU motor. I don't think I have that motor.

Help...please

I called Fordsdicks BMW and Auto Atlantic, and apparently the F7LDCR is spark plug they use on the 328i. I also had my reservation regarding the use of F7LDCR in my M52 motor. I must say the car throws away fire and I think it has something to do with spark plugs as you rightfully pointed out.

Bro, I'm actually using the FGR7DPQ 4 prong plugs in the car. It goes better now, the plugs are expensive but i think its worth in the long run. the F7 plugs are what goes into the M50B25 motor. I did have them in the car, my new plugs did improve the performance.

I agree with regard to F7 and the M50 motors, hence me calling the agents.I even gave my VIN# and the salesperson was adamant that it was the right spark plugs for the M52 motor :)

Can I buy the FGR7DPQ at MIDAS?

Its funny you should say that, I went to my local Forsdicks and the salesman there was adamant that the FGR was the right plug because I checked the plug before paying, he even took me to his machine to look at the parts breakdown .Weird.

You can get all those parts from Midas for almost half the price...Gud filters, Bosch plugs, ect.

You are right about that , plugs are around R30 there. Kinda makes me wonder:mmm::mmm:

dude, those R30 plugs arent the best for your beemer. R80 isnt actually a bad price, if theyre the right plugs. I remember the Bosch Super 4's were like R220 for 4 at one stage. but GUD filters are good. They even make oem filters. get the right plugs (preferrably Bosch, but NGK are ok).

I know that im going to get kakked on for the NGK statement, and im sure that others have used them with no issues, but this post was about my opinion. To each his own.

Thanks for personal opinion, the statements about NGK are true though, they are good plugs, and they do make replacement (if I may call it that) for Bosch. But i think it comes down to being 'brand specific', since Bosch seems to be the plug BMW would use since the management is Bosch.

Have you tried those NGK performance plugs?
I was checking the owners handbook for my E36 and BMW specifies NGK plugs with the part number :dunno:

Have you tried www.realoem.com ?

i have seen RealOEM and it also specifies the FGR7DPQ(Bosch), and the NGK part number. At the end of day it comes down to you. NGK/Bosch your choice. :D
