Well as I said The only car forum where a smaller powered car is dissed by the yuppies in their bigger powered cars as if its a different brand, not very fanatics like is it.:flyfun::argh: Different strokes for different folks, each to his own. Thought we all here for the love of the brand:idea:

I bought a 323i at the same time my friend bought a 320i, he loves his beemer just as much as I did. So it doesn't bother him that he bought a 320, he bought a BMW, high 5 to him.:thumbs::bravo:

100% agreed there it's still a BMW and a lovely car and not a racer.

I say it's because the newer modern cars are now built by the accountants.

Here I thought I was just good at tax and auditing, I didn't know our skills have extended to building cars now too?

Yes it is nice, fully kitted, it IS a BMW. I am actually shocked that its the second time this comes up, on no other car forum will you see this, people respect each others choices and commend them on buying that brand of car. If we all wanted the same things in life for the same reasons, there wouldn't be such a thing as choice.

These 320 dissing threads gives truth to that age old stupid myth that BMW drivers are ego centric and full of themselves, look how it is looked down on people who buy into the brand because they love the brand, just cause they choose to buy a 320i, which is a BMW after all.

whatever colour, flavour, size or whatever... you buy it cause you love it. DONE

Hell if i had the money i will by a new M5 and a M3 and the 1M and the M6 just so that i have all the high end ones too. but will still use my 323i to get around with everyday. will be alot cheaper to maintain too.

I don't care what anyone thinks, I am just saying it as I see it, nowhere on any other car forum will you see anything like this.

So you don't like any car that does 0-100 in over 8 seconds, good for you. For some people that might not be an issue. That's why there was a choice for you to by a 323i.:thumbs:

Other forum users care, and that is the point I'm trying to make. So if the idea is then to chase the 320 owners away, then change the forum name. Are you being so blinded by your "powerful" 125kw BMW that you believe that other people who driver slower BMW's don't have a place here. Some people will drive a new BMW even if its a 320, so does that not make them fanatics, cause they don't have the mechanical knowledge to drive a old BMW out of motorplan? No it does not, the same way it does not make a a person who chooses to drive a slightly older BMW dummer cause he wants more power.

Anyway no use trying to get you or the other yuppy owners to see the point.

Is it really that unfathonable for you to believe that most road users are happy with doing 0-100 in 10s+? (Obviously money being the issue). Maybe you should get some driving tips from the toyota forum on how to live with slow cars and still stay a fanatic :fencelook:?

A good example, I can afford a 135i, now please call me silly for choosing a car that is much slower.... (Ok, please don't, I have low self esteem because I have a four cylinder engine) But at this stage of my life I cannot drive one. I will opt for a faster, more unpractical car when I go through my mid-life crysis.

I think I suspect what all the fluss is about. I don't recall that any of the 320i owners felt highly offended in the first thread about the 320i. They all voiced their opinions on why they love their cars. But everything went sideways (except the 320i :sorry when this kept on being an issue after perfectly valid reasons were given. I don't think they are pissed because people are calling their cars slow, they are pissed because others expect them to care, and even admit that they made the wrong choice...

I was actually joking with that statement, I'm far from being upset. Besides I don't smoke.
