Delayed reaction when starting

Hey all,

Yesterday I got in to my car and turned the ignition key to start the car and
there was a delay of about 2 seconds or so then the starter turned and the car started..
It did it all day yesterday but today it’s fine.

Any idea of what could have made it do that?
