My personal opinion on this...

Mod a car out of plan.. Mod it while under MP and lose it.

Really simple if the car doesn't have enough power for you as standard then buy something with more power..

If you don't do MP safe like ACS... then suffer the consequences of your actions.

When something breaks on the car you take the stuff off and expect BMW to pay for it ? really unethical and downright shamefull to expect the dealer to fix what you stuffed up with aftermarket.

So in short guys with software on a MP car should be caught and MP taken away..

No wonder BMW gets the moer in and refuses to replace stuff. Then you get your knickers in a knot... sorry but it's your own fault...

So I would say if you do ACS go for it... anything else... sorry but lose MP

Hey guys,

Also been wanting to go the uni-q route with full exhaust on my m135. With uni-q you need to splice the wires, from what I understand there's no harness like what Hartge chip has, JB also has the harness I think.. And I am fully aware of my mp that would be voided, unfortunately it's a consequence that you can't really get away from.. (Unless I can find a service manager like what I had at <another brand> who arranged services and claims for me even with my mods :p ).. Now to make the decision.. Hmm

Understandable ACS is not cheap but at least you don't have to worry about voiding MP..

Look my thing is as I stated above... I can't see that any person that has....

Wait I shut up cause this will sound harsh...

MOD Away people mod away...

However I have to add though...

Picked up my car again from the dealer. they are now on a drive to clamp down on any form of after market mod on cars..

The DP said they now get MP's cancelled within the hour.

So your choice is your choice... if you can afford to fix a blown engine or turbo then go mad with the software...

Please just have some form of conscience when you expect MP to pay because you decided to not follow the rules...

A fanatic phoned me the other day in a blind panic.

They voided his motorplan, because he had a repair done on his vehicle by a panel shop, and they found 3 fish eyes on the paint, motorplan voided cause car was not repaired by an ARC.

If they are going to void a plan for 3 fish eyes, what do you think they will do when they find a car that the boost pressure is out of spec....

Just a thought...

Now I know why they wash the cars like crap after service.. There's not enough time since 2 hours are spent servicing your car and 6 hours for trying to find faults to cancel your MP 0_o' lol

Possibly they just removed the panel/paint warranty . I dont they would try remove the entire MP.

There must have been obvious structural damage. I have had Bm's and Porsches serviced with paint work done by a non ARC and when traded in I stated the damage. They had no problem with it and I had no special relations with the dealer. Don't confuse a non ARC with crap workmanship.

+3 with Rommies. There are some HEAVILY modified bmw's that are still under motor plan. It's really not that hard
