@#$@#% curbed wheel x 2

For some reason my child prefers driving in the M5 so my wife has been using that car. Last night I was smoking in the garage and noticed scratch marks on the front right rim. Puff puff and I rush inside the house. I tuned "babes did you bump the rim on a pavement?" The answer I get is "the one in the back?" So since Sunday she managed to kerb both wheels. Cannot believe the carelessness. Should get her a ox cart.

George, the only problem is you get her an ox cart, and well, you'll be sleeping in it.

Thats why i bought my wife her own "nice" car with the agreement of my cars are mine yours is yours... so leave them the fsck alone, the only other person that would drive my cars is maybe my dad....

My wife did the same to me in my merc as well..

Its not as easy as that. My child chooses the car as they get into the garage. If she wants the white one its the white one otherwise tantrums deluxe.

That's why my wife uses the X5 during the week .... don't have to worry about potholes, pavements, etc

I think save yourself the time and trouble, and just get them fixed.
You know as they say Happy wife = Happy life. Lol

I have an answer for you!! :) quite simple really... i did this, my wife was to drive my car for a month or so, so I got a pair of rims from a scrap yard ( obviously had them looked at for any damage) and through them on for the month she was driving it!! And thank goodness I did because after that I basically had to throw them away!! And age still asked me before a put them on... Why are you doing that, what's wrong with you!! I won't scratch them I promise!! Ya right!!

Calla you got the best point with happy wife happy life. Hence my ranting here. At home it was like no comment type of thing. I think I will fix them just before we sell the car rather.

you could get some of those foam rubber things they use in bicycle tires cut them in half and cable tie them on :) it would be ugly as fuck but would get the point across...

It is only rims guys..... come on!!!

You can take it to a wheelmaster place or something like that and have it fixed for small change...

It is fine if you rant and rave here, we understand and we DO feel your pain.

I had a few of those and most were when the kids started to learn how to drive.

We take it hard because we love our BMW's, we let it go, because we love our family more....

For sure. I am not going to pull a WWF move on my wife for two scratched rims. The shock is how do you scratch two in a day. I got a quote to get them fixed R4500+ VAT so not really chomp change but they need fixing as the potholes have managed to bend them anyway.

Just had an 18" rim repaired & sprayed at Hi Tech Mag Repairs Alrode South for R500 & an excellent job. Speak to Craig.

Yes those guys do a very good job, had my Cooper's mag done there. Looked as good as new. ( And no it wasn't the wife's fault..... Lol )

The R 4500 + VAT sounds a bit steep.

I also agree, sometimes (most times) we just don't understand how....

I can honestly say since my wife did the advanced driving in 2004,
no more dings, scratches, or damaged rims.
