LOL. I really got to concentrate on my next film and cannot let this car consume my time. So I don't mind letting her sit.

That being said, before we try the tensioner, I want to be 100% sure that it is the issue. So I'm going to try get belts that are 2065 or 2070 in size and see what happens. We know 2075 jumps off (possibly too big) and 2055 snaps in half (possibly too tight). So Something in between the two might work.

If it still comes off, then tensioner it is... but that will get replaced when I have made some more money.

Hi Crash

You must make sure of the belt route there is two ways the belt can go on the one way i had mine on the belt slipped i then check the the route again seen there is way to route to give you more rap around the super charger pulley that sorted my belt slip out. Hope you find the problem good luck I'm sure it's something small
You must be joking.......

No I'm not joking I'm not a experted but have had a problem with belt slip and found i made a mistake in fitting the vortex belt differently than the intend way also not saying it's the problem but just make sure its corrected

Ok you are not joking so let me help you.

1. I am old
2. I am Greek
3. I am male

Therefore being an old male Greek I know everything......ask anyone they will tell you.

:)

Seriously though I have checked the route of the belt a few times to make sure that it runs correctly and have used the VF diagram as well as supplied by Burgy of ProjectShift

Check the pulleys/bearings and tensioner. Had the exact same problem with my Supra. Also make 100% sure that the belt doesn't run "wobbly!"

Come on Crash. Lets get her running for once and for all! FFS!:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Tensioner is likely the culprit

Car is on the road again with a 265 belt.
It needs a deep V belt to stay on and the previous belts we had used had a shallow V.
It equally requires some new parts on the tensioner pulley and it should be ok.

Let us see how things progress.

Gave her a good wash today. Spent the whole afternoon trying to buff out the last few weeks muck that collected whilst she sat going through countless operations to get her supercharged and to fix the power steering etc. felt good to see her looking so clean. Then my Neapolitan mastiff decided he'd had enough of me washing the car and it was time to play.

So a year has gone by... I guess some may be wondering what happened with this build? Well, a lot really.

Some good. Some bad... Expect a nice long video about it.

More info soon.
