Crashed F30 on road pavement

Guys i had an accident over the weekend and crashed my new 2013 F30 on a pavement. I hit and went over the pavement and car stopped a few metres. The front right wheel was bent and damaged the fender. All airbags deployed the other wheels are damaged but still in position. Can this car be repaired or it is a write off considering it may be more than 70% of retail price.

Will be repaired.

Airbags your in for 50k,

Panel and paint about 10 to 20k

Suspension about 50k

Thats 120k (im guessing here, would like if you can report back if I am accurate or not)

However, you may have a clause in your insurance that if the car is under a certain age (1 or 2 years I think) and under a certain miledge (35k I think) that you can ask for a new vehicle in return.

Sorry to hear that man .. hope nobody was hurt. to my knowledge if the assessor has confirmed that damage Exceeds more than 70% of value then Prob will be written off, and if ur insurance is with BMW they should sort u out with a brand new car :thumbs:

Am waiting for the quotation from Autobahn repair center today or tomorow im just praying it can be repaired i dont want to go through write off process..

They are yet to finish the assessment today i think. Nobody was hurt i was alone in the car.

Sorry to hear this man:thumbdo:...having been thu something similar if the damage is more than 50% of the value of the car then it is normally written off...
Airbags aren't 50K, more like 6K...it's the dash thats expensive as it will need replacing. The aluminium bits around whatever was damaged on the suspension will be replaced even if it wasn't damaged in the accident, this is also another factor which increases repair cost by alot...MP insists on this due to safety...hope you get sorted..:thumbs:

Looks repairable...but don't know what the underside looks like...remember these cars control arms and stuff are built to break in accidents to minimize impact on the inside...

What does this process entail? Is it a major schlep?
Reason I ask, is in the two prangs I've had, the cars were repaired. In hindsight, I wish they had been written off. Yours doesn't look too bad, but mine were never the same, even after many attempts by the panelbeaters. There'll be some pretty heavy comments on your MP now. Your insurance is going to up anyway, I say, cut your losses, get another one and try again.

Sorry to hear about the accident, thank god you are ok and that you get the car sorted out asap. Judging from the pic it don't look too bad so hopefully it can be repaired and be as good as new.

All the airbags in the car have deployed.
Dent Doctor (leonard) says that airbags will be R50 000.
You say that airbags will be R6 000.

Clearly you are mistaken in the first instance and in the second instance I shall refrain from commenting as it will be perceived to be rude.

I was guessing based on an E90 that I recently did, have no clue what the F30's prices on that sort of thing run.
