I sent them the following email to do the changes but its too late 
The mailer is already uploaded and getting sent out tonight. They cant edit it.... They said they've always use "Fun-run" as a drive.
Hi,
Please add “BMW Fanatics” into the first sentence and change FUN RUN to CHARITY DRIVE:……. “Join SMG Cape Town and the BMW Car Club as well as the BMW Fanatics forum members as we host a Charity drive to assist……”
A few people will read “Fun-run” as in jogging/running, because in the third line it says “….of all fitness levels are….”
Please add next to the Entry Fee: something like……. “Please bring a gift for the charity or anything from their wish list (see attached)”.

Thats k@k because its a "BMW Fanatics Charity Event" and not a fun run organized from SMG or BMW Car Club. I don´t belong to the BMW Car Club and i do not identify myself with the BMW Car Club.
Everywhere where I introduce this event to possible sponsors I use BMW Fanatics as the organizers. What if someone reads BMW Car Club that makes me look stupid.
I´m frustrated!
They don´t need "any" gift as a "entry fee" they need the stuff from the official wish list!

I am not a member of your BMW Car Club Grant and I don't understand WHY this event is abused to push the BMW Car Club..... this wasn't even discussed once :nonono:

Why has this turned into a soap box and political issue. Who gives a damn which "club" you belong to!? The venue and people receiving the help and donations don't care about that, I'm sure. All that matters to them is that a group of like minded people from a car club is helping them out because they can and want to. It's not about you, it's about them.

Yes I'll be the first to admit I haven't marked my contributions from the list yet. I will be tho, but won't be able to make the event on the day . As to blurting about things I know nothing about...the only thing I know is that people are letting their egos do the talking at the moment, which is counter productive.

Sorry for not uploading the flyer. I had some friends take a look and my writing skills came under fire. :mmm:
One my friends is a writer and offered to help. She just redid the text and it's brilliant. I'm trying to have it ready in the morning if possible. :thumb:
Also a huge thanks to Uber Soldat who's doing the graphics which is also brilliant :clap:

Well said Nic. SMG did it, not me.... In the first meeting I told them that both the fanatics and the club is having a charity run.
It also doesn't matter what SMG tells their database what to bring as a gift. It's better than nothing.

If I didn't get SMG involved with this event I don't think it would be a good success like the one we did at the beginning of the year to Nazareth with just us fanatics.
3 years ago when we had a charity run with Auto Atlantic, that was a huge success. I remember counting at least 70 cars.

I've only had 2 donations so far. 1 avg amount and 1 massive amount.
We don't need the politics, it's unnecessary.

I was there in the house in Richwood and have my face shown. I´m nearly every day in contact with Charmaine and that is the only reason why I'm doing this yet.
After that event i´m not longer a member of the BMW Fanatics because it turns more and more into a Kindergarden.
For some people here in the forum, it is not unnecessary or why you believe that so many have pulled out
