I have the same issue!
The article seems to list 3M squeak reduction tape and or a lubricant called Krytox.
No sure where to get either though. Let me know if you find a place!

This is an issue with many BMW models.

My E90 and both my parents' F30's do the same.

All these vehicles have gloss black trim around the doors and I have been told that is the cause of the squeek.

The F30's got the squeek sorted at Zambezi auto under motorplan by applying the 3M tape.

I'm yet to sort out the issue on my E90 though:hammerhead:

My car is still on MP so i will book it in to get sorted, hopefully they know about it.

I'm sure they will know of it. I spoke to a guy from BMW Rosslyn plant and he told me about the fix and that it's a cheaper solution than replacing all the door trim pieces.

If you don't come right at your dealer, take it to Zambezi auto (if possible):coolShake:

Have the same issue on my F30.
Applied Wurth Gummi Pfledge (purchased from Wruth on Malibongwe, approx. R130 for an aerosol) and it is dead quiet. Application method used: Clean the hard rubber above the windows with Shield Heavy duty Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner then spray Gummi Pfledge directly onto this rubber.

Problem is...the squeaks return after a few months and I have to reapply.

Would really love to know where I can get the 3M tape here in JHB:ty:

Hi.

I have a 2016 F30 BMW and have been battling with this issue as well. My one rear door doesn't stop creaking. I've been to 4 dealers in the JHB area and 3 times to the same dealer. Have had tape applied, new rubbers installed and still the same problem.

I've actually given up.:smashScreen:

I just turn up the music and drive.

wouldnt a squeak mean that the door is loose? Like the nuts that attach it to the frame. I dont have that issue on my car But that is something i would check, i suppose.

So my noise has disappeared, been more than three weeks now, all i did was just give it a good clean.

No special anything used.

My car went in for a service yesterday at BMW and i told them about this noise. the SA said that they know about this issue for the F30 but not the E90.

When i went to pickup my car he said they did look at the rubbers. On invoice it states, replaced and refitted rubbers or something to that effect. lubricant was also applied

When i close my door now, it has that brand new solid sound to it. the door closes without any hassle or bang. Hoping the issue is now sorted.
