Hi Guys

My brothers 2012 E320d developed a leak in the rear passenger side, all doors seals seem fine , but the carper is drenched, anyone experience this?
what can we begin checking?
other forums suggest the seal on the door panel, water coming in from between the window.

Any help will be appreciated.

Check the door with a hose pipe as well. Have someone sit inside to see if water comes in from anywhere.

Have you had the windscreen replaced? It could be coming in from the front and seeping down the sides of the wind screen. The front mat should be wet though as well

check the drain covers under the bonnet, Should be just near the shock mount.

Sunroof drains cleaned?

Window regulator or speaker ever replaced?

Vapor barrier replaced properly?

Foam gaskets for the door-card clips?

This happened to my E92 just before I traded it in. Water also got into the section of the boot where the OEM amp sits. You may want to check that out as well.

I don't know what the issue, there, was as I had got rid of the car on the day that I had noticed it.

definitley not the doors, as the upper parts of the sides of the carperts are bone dry, had it been doors or sunroof the sides would also been wet.

Check underneath the body of the car. Perhaps it's one of those gromits that is missing or has come out of place.

I had a 335 in this week that was getting water into the battery compartment, I found one of the gromits had collapsed/been incorrectly reinstalled and water was coming in that way.
