BMW E46 330i

I love the 330i's.
My dad owns an E46 2000 model with 308,000 kms on it, and mechanically it's still in fine fettle. The engine is still smooth as silk and pulls hard. It's never been particularly well looked after and he just gets in and drives it.

We took it for a spin from Jo'burg to Pretoria the other day, driving at around 120 all the way, and averaged 8,6 km/100.

I drove the car on Saturday, and it's in very good condition, love at first sight!raise::rollsmile:
The car will need a service, and there are some curb damage the mags
But that is things i can take care off myself

I am waiting to hear what they will offer me for 'n trade, but i think i'll take it

I can borrow the money on my bond for the car

So i am thinking of selling my car privately , what will be a fair price for a 320D 2004 6 speed manual, 239,000 km on the clock
Full service history, very good tyres, it is actually going in for a major service, cleaning the intake, and replacing the breather valve

You are stepping back, going from 2004 to 2003...
2003 330i go for 80k to R110k

I'm just wondering about the 'lending money on bond' thing. Never good IMO.

Geez, that's what they offered me for my 2000 318i. I would have thought your car is worth a bit more than that...

All in all I will only lend 15k on the car
As I can put down 10k, and sold my car privately.

I know it's a 2003 model, but it's in near perfect condition, and the mileage is 120k versus 240k

So I hope that can justify a 15k finance. Which i can settle in 10 months
And there is the fact that I always had a crush on a 330i!:inlove:

Congrats Leon. Excellent choice. Sometimes in life you need to take 2 steps back to go 10 steps forward. I see no issue in going from a 2004 to a 2003. I once went from a 2002 325 to a 2000 540. Best move I made. You will not be disappointed:joy:

Leon, if i remember correctly you bought your 320d from Paarlberg. Is that where you are buying the 330i from? May i ask what are you doing with the 320d. Have you sold it privately or are you trading it in on the 330i?

I will be selling the 320d privately
It is going in for a major service at Garage 808 today, replacing the breather valve and cleaning the EGR as well
So i will be putting a for sale thread soon

I am buying the 330 at Audi in Cape Town
Nothing wrong with the 320d though, it has not given me a days trouble, i just want that straight six purr!:rollsmile:

The garage refuse to let the car go without me taking out a warranty, which is an ekstra 10k, i refuse to pay this as this was never mentioned to me! they send me a quote that i accepted,and know this comes in afterwards
