I going to say no. The one half of me off course. Selling a paid off car that gives not troubles WILL haunt you forever. Ask me.

You will MISS the consumption of the diesel vs the 330i, although the pull of the 330 will calm you a bit on that point...that is until you have to go fill up again.

Fuel consumption is a valid point, there is no denying that. I own one of these, and while it can be very efficient on the highway, in town or when driven hard, its not.

I drive mine gently and do about 600km on a tank with about 450km of those sort of in town.

On the open road only, you can easily get 800km on a tank.

I can vouch on the mileage that one can get on a tank.
I often see 750km on my 330i 6 speed.
Do eeet!!! If you don't you'll regret it for the rest of your life.
The sound of an e46 330i, can't be beat!
I still roll down all the windows in traffic and enjoy that sweet spot at about 2 500 rpm in 3rd after owning the car for 4 years.
Btw, its my second e46 330i, don't think I'll ever sell.

Be sure to get a good feel for the condition of the clutch flywheel as well....the 6 speed 330i's clutch and flywheel are hard to come by and expensive. (Not that it is a deal breaker, its just a possible expense that you will have to budget for)

If you do go for it change the expansion tank and main belt. My tank cracked at 130k
