Looking at doing my first oil change on my baby. I need to know what is the best, but also not pocket breaking oil to use.
As well as oil filter.

Awaiting your responses, cheers. :praise:

Dealer now wants 1500.00 and thats for the F1 option that takes an hour or less. Too much for me. Prefer getting my hands dirty for this girl.

Just use bmw oil. Its the cheapest if you do the math.
Also bmw oil use to be Castrol, they have now switched to shell.
Which I feel is the better oil, in my opinion.

Also use a genuine filter.

Did mine last week. Cost me just under 600 to get everything from bmw.

P.s try get hold of one of those filter cap tools. Or you're going to struggle like crazy to remove the filter cap.
Ask me how I know.

As said above, SMG Canal Walk, and let the supply the oil filter (usually cheaper than the aftermarket stuff believe it or not, but no harm shopping around), then if you are using Castrol oil, best prices typically are at one of their depots - they are called Lube Marketing.
