I saw a video of a new M5 at odi, really breaking the walls there. Is it true its worst than tarlton?

Some say you spin in 4th on the 1km sprint is it true.

True story. Ask me how I know.

NO its not worse that Tarlton on a Friday Night.

The M5 crash was a very in- experienced driver with a powerful car that caused the crash. It was not the track conditions.

On the last event for Volvo Club Day traction was horrible but I have been told by others that events thereafter had good traction as the track was sorted.

For all my years of racing at ODI , the only horrible outing was the Volvo Club Day Event as ODI had prepped the surface with Liquid Tar, once again this has been rectified by the track owners.

IMO if you not use to track racing , rather start of with a Friday Night at Tarlton to gain exposure of what to expect.

Wow Shaun. Very good reply. To be honest the car spins in 4th. I'm sure rowen is the same. Will the 1 be with slicks or semi or street.

Naaa, dont think so. Although I do need to change tyres as there isn't much left on the standard issue

High HP RWD cars on a unprepped track will most likely leave anyone in the bush (Sherwins saying) with street tyres but if you not a cowboy street tyres will do just fine.

If one is modding a car and wanting to do record breaking times at track events .Semi/ Full slicks is a must. All brands of cars have shown this is key.

On a Friday night at Tarlton for practice sessions , street tyres will do.

Maybe it was the silicone or the roads being damped it happened once maybe a flook. True tyres is an issue I'm on my second set already.

Ok, must admit. It was the day the traction was really crap like Shaun explained.

If your x35i is making decent power you will have some wheelspin on a Friday night, but it is manageable.

The key is not going all out on your 1st run, if you new to it. Take the 1st run easy and you'll feel what the traction is like and how the car reacts.

Track conditions especially Friday nights also differ, depending on whether a drag event has taken place the week before (track is prepped for proper drag events, so you have the benefit of residual rubber/trackbite) and the weather.

I've run 13.3 on a friday night on street tyres with Andz' 135i, and there was also one instance where the car did get really squirly, but I peddled it and drove through the slide.

Come for the Fun
Practice makes Perfect

Agreed.

My dream now is to ship my baby to Germany and take her around the ring.

After that drive to Monaco and go around the circuit.

Just got a huge smile on my face thinking about the ring. Are the rumors true the ring is going down to insolvency.
