Beisan Systems kits for s50b32

Hi all

Does anyone know if Beisan Systems has started making vanos kits for the s50b32? I found a link to the procedure but there's no mention of the kit in the products page. The other funny thing is that, there's also no direct link to this page from the procedures page.

After looking at that procedure, it seems it is not necessary to lock the cams. Am I correct?

Since there are so many of us interested this kit and I'm not confident doing it DIY. Is there anyone who can do a group fit (with discount :fencelook for some of us who are scared to tackle this huge task?

i have one though the DIY on this and i would not do it unless you have done other engine work before and understand exactly what needs to be done it is rather fiddly on this engine and there is a chance you could though the timing out...

for the guys in CPT maybe we could setup a DIY meet at the Fanatics warehouse :rollsmile:

Any idea what this would cost to have this job done by a workshop ....on Labour that is I will supply the kit from here ?

install time for vanos seals should be 5 hours +1 hour for the rattle repair

I had this done by a workshop. Did it when the car was at 190000kms. Was R1500 for labour. Spares was about R200 for the seals. But u also need a new tappet cover gasket which was R1500,its a 3 piece set and new vanos cover bolts R80 for 4 u need 8 for 3.2 engine. For the guys who have extra moola I would suggest do it. For those of us who don't I did mine with BMW spares and its fine. If it can give me another 190000kms
I'd be fine with that.
