Advice please - E39 540 brake pads

Good day all,

I hope you all had a good & safe festive season.

So during the longest month of the year the old girl needs some pads, on the face of it the discs seems fine.

Any recommendations for new pads?

Also with it being an auto means I do not have the advantage of engine braking & have been toying with the idea of a brake upgrade.

Has any body done so or researched it?

Pads, best to get it from the dealers.

Upgrade, Powerbrake GT series discs and pads, unless you want a big brake upgrade then it depends on the budget and how it will be used.

I got a set of Bendix Ultimate FRONT brake pads from Powerbrake for my 540, and they are awesome.

Takes a lot longer to fade, and initial bite is definitely better. Pedal effort is also less.
