The s54 motor was fitted with the secondary air pump.
The car is in for a major (all filters brake fluid change and bleed wipers handbrake shoes adjust a modification to the seats to stop them from rattling) as well as the customary vanos /rattle/drill oil pump

btw. Peter, whats it in for ? i assume the normal vanos rattle kit and seals?
Also with that low kays I would assume the Vanos not working as intended as a result of standing for long periods??
Low Kms have no influence on the seals.
The seals deteriorate as soon as they are fitted and do a few warm up and cooling cycles.
Here is what the seals look like which reinforces the fact that if you drive a vanos car get the seals done
Oh btw these are the best condition seals we have seen in a long time.
The last time we saw seals in such good condition is when we did Fordkoppie's CSL and that had roughly 10000km since the vanos unit change by BMW and had developed a rattle.
Pistons with new seals fitted
Oil pump disc
Torque checked on cap screws
Inlet gearbox
Exhaust gearbox
Tomorrow the spline shafts will be done and the unit set in place after the timming chain cover has been loved.
