328i F30 or M135?

Both are more or less the same age, same mileage, same specs and will cost will be just about R400pm difference. Got a damn good deal on a M135i 4door and thinking of trading the 328. Only difference, my 328 has Harmon Kardon sound and the M135i only BMW Professional.

Thoughts and opinions appreciated.

The M135i is a different animal completely... at that price diff, even though I just bought my gorgeous 328i I would tell you to go for the M135i. And bud you wont be using your radio in the M135i because the exhaust note sounds so damn amazing. ;)

I hear you... one thing I will definitely miss is the wood interior of the 328.

Having said that, M135i with M Performance exhaust will be AWESOME!

Does your 328i have the M-Performance exhaust? Or was that the stock exhaust sounding so sweet down the straight at kyalami this weekend?

My m135i without M perf exhaust is already a head turner :praise:

I think the only thing about the 328i is it has a bigger boot not that it matters, boot on the m135i is quite small

Performance wise I cannot get enough of my m135i I love this car its awesome and it can go sideways with ease hehe

Depends what you want the car for....
If for a daily, then stick with the 328. If for a toy, I feel there are better options. If you want times, then definitely the M135i

I agree with this. The 1 series has a very small interior. It's quite a squash in the back seats. All comes down to what your requirements are and what you want.

We don't have kids, not planning on kids in the next 5 years so small back seats aren't really an issue.

Well are you looking at brand new, secondhand or demos?

Secondhand, I change cars too often to buy new :smashScreen:

M135i for me is the perfect all rounder. Has the space even if boot is smaller than a 3 series.

Wrt the audio system. U can upgrade to the alpine system. Or check the Focal upgrade. There is a thread here discussing it for the F20

I have the Harmon Kardon system can't fault it, but there are better systems out there

Go test drive both, consider your needs & then which one speaks to you.

I would go for the M135i,
They are soooooo much fun to drive :) and the sound is awesome!

I find the boot adequate in size, I cycle and can easily fit my bike in the back with the seats down!
