In America they have the 335is.It has the N54 Engine with the power pack and addional 50 nm of torque on full kick down ie the torque moves up to 500 nm for a few seconds when overtaking or on full accelaration.

Perhaps DTC they are calling 135is? Don't make sense still.

Or is it the model with M kit they calling 135is? s = sport kit?

Could be the DCT option, or unless you select the BMW performance kit, cause the 135i with the mpower package is essentially the z4is engine......

135is never heard of, but heard of the 335is, as stated it’s a US based model.
Engine changes a I am aware of in the 335is includes new software, better cooling system an auxiliary radiator and an oil cooler, updated the cooling fan's performance, improved engine mounts and a different back box with a more sporty exhaust note that does not pass Euro sound regulations.
It also includes the torque over boost function that last 7 seconds (as stated previously by another fanatic).
The only question my mind wonders is will this exhaust and extra cooling products be available at the stealers?
I had a look at the parts on realoem a while back (fan on 335is had increase wattage), so it’s possible to get the part numbers, if I had a N54B30 motor I would obviously go into more detail and found out.

There is no 135is.

335is is only available in the US.

Difference between the 335i and 335is is the "performance upgrade" as such.

ECU, software, more powerful fan, bigger intakes etc

It also has the N54 motor, same as the new 1M Coupe. As the N54 is more powerful than the N55.

hey guys, I know this is an old thread, but i have a 2008 135i N54, and when I put in my VIN into the VIN decoder, it lists my car as a 135iS...
Any idea what this means?
BTW, the vehicle is not a sports pack, it has the Exclusive pack on...
