Awesome Build. Excited to see the end results.

Knowing Leon and his attention to detail and persistence, this is going to be EPIC.

Update:

The manifold was tac welded and fitted onto the car. And it fits like a glove! I honestly don't know how Leon got it all in there but it is. And it fits perfectly doesn't touch or rub anything and the clearances are just right.

The manifold will come out again to be welded completely.

Once it goes back in everything else can go in as well. All the boost pipes have been power-coated and are ready.

The turbo we have chosen is a Precision 6262 and not the Garret hybrid. Also I have decided not to go the ball bearing route. The difference in cost is not really justifiable. And with the new manifold spool time has been reduced enough already.

Update:

The manifold is done, all welded up and ready to go in.

Assembly will start today. Manifold and turbo will go in followed by oil cooler, boost pipes, Meth and LPFP. Once all of that is in, the car will go for the exhaust to get fabricated.

And once that is done we can get her on the rollers!! :cartel:

Update:

Leon had everything fitted into the car yesterday but noticed a small weld that was missed by the welders. So the manifold is out again quickly to get the weld done, should be done by this afternoon.
Hopefully we can get everything in by tomorrow again and send the car to get the exhaust done.

In the mean time, some pics of the new blower:

So the install is basically wrapped up. She's loaded onto the flatbed on the way to TMS for the exhaust. Not long now.

Update:

So, TMS is done with the exhaust. And boy is it a beauty, they really do some top notch work.

Oustanding items are few now, a few niggles here and there and the Meth still needs to go in. Hopefully not more than a day or two for that.

I'd hate to make another guestimate of when we will be done so I'm rather just going to say, I'll keep you posted on any news. Really won't be much longer before the car is running.

A pic or two of the new pipes...

Update:

The car is running!!! I was at FR&R yesterday and the car is up and running. Everything is not complete yet, there are still some finishing touches that need to happen, mostly cosmetic work.

We ran the car with the 0.6 Bar wastegate spring, just to do the initial runs and see if everything is running well. I took the car for a test drive. It feels insanely quick compared to stock. We experienced a miss on cylinder 2 on the initial run, turned out to be a faulty coil. Luckily Leon had a spare in stock so we swapped it out quickly.

Once the dyno was free we put her on to see how things are running. With 3 month old petrol in the tank and boost at 0.6 Bar we hit 384 Whp. No meth, no additives nothing. I'm very excited to see what this week will hold once we start running higher boost with meth and mix.

The exhaust is sublime, hats off to Nishen and the guys from TMSS it really is world class workmanship they put into their systems. The sound is reminiscent of a 325i Kushesh with a free flow, it sounds incredible!!

And I have to reiterate. Leon is an absolute genius, if you can see the work that was done on the car and the space (or lack thereof) he had to work with, it's nothing short of mind blowing.:clapper: The work Leon does is really pristine and the whole reason this build has been taking long, is because of his attention to detail. I really don't mind waiting for this level of work.:praise:

Thank you Leon!!! :ty:

I'm going to try upload a video to youtube of the first dyno run and I will post a link.
