Quick update:

The suspension mods are on order courtesy of Axis Engineering, thank you Sean.
I replaced the spark plugs a week ago, the OEM bosch plugs were not coping. 6 New NGK 5992's (New part no. 95770 / ILZKBR7B8DG) were sourced from Autozone Centurion. I gapped them to 0.022" ~ 0.55mm per BMS recommendation.

Initially I got a misfire or two with the new plugs, but that quickly went away. I also did some testing with Eth mixes higher than 50%. I quickly found that my HPFP is not happy with mixes stronger than 60% Eth. On 60% exactly the car runs like a dream but I'm right on the very edge of what my HPFP will handle. I'll share a log or two later.

Some pics of the plugs old vs. new: It's very evident how much NF I've been using lately:yuck:

Well done...

what did autozone charge you for the plugs?

time for port injection!

Thanks bro! It came to about R1380.00 for all six plugs. Bargain considering BMW charged me about R5500.00 to replace six plugs when I last replaced them.

YES!!! Next on my list is LSD and then it's dry bread and water as i save up for the PI kit.

Howsit bro, some FBO guys making good power. I'm the wrong guy to ask, I never went that route. I upgraded to the ST build from completely stockers.
Chat to Kish and George about the FBO route they will be able to give you a very good idea.

I've neglected the thread for a while now because my car has been pretty much dormant for a few months
I've been frying O2 sensors on the regular and at R7k a set I gave up the fight. However a solution has presented itself and I'm waiting for some replacements which will hopefully arrive soon.
Some further mods have also been installed. Courtesy of Axis Engineering (Thanks Sean!!) a new set of Koni dampers, subframe bushes and drag bags for the rear springs. And in the aesthetics department, Courtesy of Rennzport (Thanks Firi!!) a 1M style front bumper which will hopefully fit over the giant intercooler without needing any modification.
On the verge of LSD and side shafts upgrade as well.
I'll hopefully update the thread soon with results on the replacment O2's and latest power figures. We've never fully unleashed the beast, every time we get close the next weak link goes. I'm confident this time she won't disappoint.:tiptoe:

Such a great build. Its only a matter of time (and money) till everything is running 100%. And upgrading the side shifts must mean you are making crazy power!!! Not sure if I feel more sorry for the tyres or the tarmac.
EPIC BUILD!!!!!!

FINALLY!!! The replacement O2's arrived. Two painful months of me and S.A. Post office. I've learnt my lesson though, next time it's DHL.

I will post updates soon on whether these new units are worth the wait.

So finally the 1M bumper is on, and the front end is looking good once again. The original M-Sport bumper was looking a bit worse for wear.
I was surprised by how much space there was behind the 1M bumper, everything fit like a glove. I just need to install the last two grills in the two bottom corners. The guy who did the painting sprayed everything, even the brackets for the grilles and the little slats right on the edges. I will take the car back to him to get that sorted once she's up and running again.

On the performance front, all I'm saying is this...

On Saturday FSalie (Thank you for the help!!) and I spent the whole day on the car installing the PI kit. I have to say we were both very impressed with the quality of the kit and how easy it was to install. Everything was fairly straight forward and we didn't hit any major snags.
Unfortunately we didn't manage to finish. One or two small things still outstanding. I have to finish up the wiring for the secondary LPFP and decide how to trigger it. Not sure if I want to go with the Hobbs switch or the JB.
I also think the charge pipe needs to be modified slightly to account for the PI spacer.
Hopefully we can sort all of this out during the week and get the car started by the weekend.:tiptoe:

Quick update:

She's ALIVE!!!! Everything is up and running and preliminary results are looking good. We took her up to 500Whp on 23psi still running the normal pump backend.
I'm going to leave it there, for now, just to get used to the car again.
In the new year I'll load the E85 map and really start cranking the PI to see what yields are available.

Your car is looking great with the 1M bumper, whats the status on your LSD?

Thanks bro, I was never a fan of the 1M bumper on a 135i. But now that I have one on my own car I have to say the look is growing on me.

I put the LSD on hold for a while. Reason being the funds that were meant for the LSD and side shafts went towards the PI. It was a spur of the moment buy because I would not receive another opportunity to get the PI kit for the price I did.
I realize that bolting more power to an already struggling rear end may not be the smartest move, but the LSD is now again at the very top of my priority list.

A quick update while I'm at it. Still running the PI kit on pump fuel for now while I'm getting the hang of setting it up. She feels very strong now. I think she's over fueling slightly because the backfires when I shift are menacing  not on all shifts, but shifting between 6 and 7k RPM from WOT sounds like cannon fire coming out of the pipes.
Before I load the ETH backend and really start tuning I have to take care of a recurring issue with the charge pipe coming off the TB :hammerhead:
Hopefully I can post a few decent logs and dyno runs before too long.

The car is running consistently at 500whp daily. It will be dialled up once he decides on which event he wants to run.
