Update 11:

The car is still going strong. Done ~ 12 000 km since taking ownership. Since the last update, had the following things done:

- Replaced both rear tires (Michelin PS4S)
- Replaced front left stabilizer link (OEM)
- Replaced both aftermarket engine and transmission mounts (OEM)

The engine and transmission mounts were replaced at SG Autoworx earlier this year, however I started to notice a vibration after a couple of weeks. Decided to go with OEM spec for both and got them replaced at my local Mercedes dealer.

Car is running flawlessly now and the vibration is gone.

Looking to service the car soon so busy sourcing oil and filter. Will attempt to do this service myself 🫣 Don't have access to a lift so will need to buy my own jack stands. Any tips regarding the right jack stands to get?

Looking good bhai

Check at Adendorff for the jack stands. They have a nice range to choose from. The car ramps work quite nice but are pricier

Very impressive! Just love the tone these cars make 🤤

What a difference at the coast with these V8's... My numbers at altitude are laughable, thankfully its more about the drive than outright numbers.

Update 12:

Decided to pull the trigger on an ecu tune. Went with Motronix given their experience with these motors.

As mentioned before, I ran the car on the dyno before tuning and ran the car on the same day after. The goal was to measure the % increase and not so much around the figures.

Tuning was sorted by the local Motronix dealer, Legends Motors and dyno was done at Ian's Auto Clinic.

Only performance modification is a "Stage 1" ecu tune.

Highest before run:

Did 3 runs on the dyno after the tune

First run:

On the second run, the car did 289 wkW. However, that power was mainly achieved during a spike in the graph at the end of the rev range.

The owner of the dyno did mention that the sensors on the dyno are a bit faulty.

I reckon the car is around the 265 - 275 wkW mark and I'm happy with that.

For reference, a P31 Package with full exhaust including headers did 303 wkW on the same dyno.

Figures aside, What is your actual driving experience before and after?

Keen to hear

What does the P31 Package consist of bud? Have seen it listed on a few C63s on the classifieds.

The general packages were P30 and P31 bar the 507 Edition.

P31 included bigger brakes (that were red), different suspension, increased power, an alcantara steering wheel, carbon fiber rear spoiler and most importantly, the internals from the SLS motor. LSD was optional too and standard on the P30.

Essentially, a P31 car is a 507 Edition without the cosmetic changes.

P30 has the same as P31 besides the forged internals and red calipers (although they were bigger).
