Software flash done today - ECU update and DPF cleaning cycle fixed.

This car had this annoying DPF cycle that would come on in the worst times and if you stopped the car during this cycle it would go into limp mode ( mine never did though )

So the ECU remap seems to have made the car less laggy at low speed, and it seems to have smoothed the shifts on the ZF box out even more.
DPF update should remove the cycle alert completely and run in the back round.

Excellent...its encouraging to know GWM/Haval is actively working on the range and didn't just produce and move on. Wonder when Exceed will have a map ready for it...and if GWM will be able to pick up a remap. I know of so many Toyota and VW owners mapping their bakkies/SUV's long before plans are up and they never seem to pick it up at Toyota and VW etc.

The mappers already have plug and play solutions, they say the OEM cant trace them.
I have my reservations though lol.

One guy has done a map, turbo and intercooler upgrades, full air suspension/lift kit and a 5inch exhaust system already :ROFLMAO:
Warranty for who...

I don't think if your car go for a service they check if mods or remaps were done, when something goes wrong, that is usually the time they investigate and find these "critters". Something I would stay away from while under plan/warranty .

I watched a video last night on a P Series (Cannon) owner in Aus that had the software update done 3 months ago. He reported that the car felt more responsive as well.

Nice touch Nick!

I would spray the inside of the bonnet guard satin black as well. Will keep the front end uniform with solid black instead of that carbon design on the bonnet guard.

Meant to ask - which dealership did the ECU update for you? I've watched some Aussie review on the bakkie and they are also mentioning the ECU update and that its helped with torque lag. Assuming the dealership did it at no charge.

We headed off to Pilanesberg for the long weekend.
FYI - DO NOT take a car in there, the roads are shocking, surfaces washed away, loose rocks everywhere, flooded roads.

Anyway the P did it all with ease, drove her for 8 hours straight in the park, the guy in the Defender was mad at me because i just followed him through everything haha.
