Hi, as you may have seen in this thread the owner chose severn tuning to tune hi z4m. After doing a lot of research I also want to use them as the owner specializes in this platform. https://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/threads/hello-s54-z4m-content.75141/page-20#post-1488421

Josh the owner has asked me to try to organize a group buy of 5 tunes. For this we will each receive a 200 dollar discount on the price.

Take a look at his site and if you are interested post here. The offer is for any e85/86 regardless of engine.

Below is a quote from Josh from z4-forum. Obviously the big power numbers are not NA.

"I’ve yet to find a company that has spent more time or is as dedicated to the Z4/Z4M platform. I’ve owned a Z4 for nearly 20 years, and I personally have a built engine and high boost twin screw supercharger in my non-M, >500 whp in both my Z4Ms, and sponsor a supercharged Z4M Bimmer Challenge car. I’ve tuned Z4Ms to >600 whp on the stock ECU, and I can safely tune the most power out of a Z4M, OTS or custom. I have yet to see a tune I couldn’t beat. There will always be someone cheaper claiming more power because oftentimes these claims aren’t truly challenged in a head-to-head comparison. We claim 15 hp but usually see 20-30 whp."

Out of curiosity, is there a drivability issue or some other thing to fix with his tune? (or perhaps something he adds?) I can understand on a heavily modded or boosted car and wanting to retain the stock ECU for various reasons. Is there actually much to gain vs. hardware mods on NA? (I don't mean value at all since it is never 'cost effective' to get power out of NA cars with parts or software and it is always going to appear horrendous value).

A bit more power. If I lived at tye coast I probably would not bother. And s54s in SA were delivered detuned because of our poor fuel octane. So there is power hidimg in the stock tune.

My M is a weekend car and I always run octane booster. With my other Z a 2.8 I managed to get performance back to pretty much stock at the coast with some cams and bolt on and had it tuned by active autowerke in the states. Am trying to do the same thing with the Z4m with bolt on parts and a tune. Probably fail but trying.
