Isn't top half shell wear usually an indication of detonation?

That is what BMW will insist it is from

However.....that is not the case

So what is the cause, according to your experience Peter? BMW got no problem making excuses and writing them on some parts they think we'll never ever get to see, lol,as with Adis car

This just makes me more worried about the bearings as my car is really running nicely at the moment...
