Congrats once again! Can imagine how that engine must be loving it at the coast! Where did you get yours from? How were the MSport seats on the long road?

After a fruitless search for an M3 I stumbled upon a Z4 coupe with msport pack. Problem was that I'm in durbs and car was in joburg. But I managed to get my bro-in-law to view it. Absolutely pristine! So I've decided to take the plunge and buy it. The dealership have offered to fly me up to collect or alternatively they will drive the car down. Unsure which option to take.

That's easy. Let them fly you up to collect it. :)

I got her from a dealership in Rooderpoort. The seats were comfortable although I suspect the ride was helped by being on non-RFTs.
Where about u situated? What are the specs on your coupe?

Performance is awesome at the coast

Has anyone here bought a car that still has to be settled at the bank? How long does it take for them to release the registration certificate after the is vehicle is paid off? I've been waiting since last Friday.

No, thank god! Although the spec is worringly the same, this is a '06. Vin checks out with BMW in respect of service history. Last mplan service was in late 2010.

I'm in JHB... Found mine in Bryanston... It's back with BMW now though because one of the headlights only comes on intermittently. Mine isn't the M-Sport, it has the Msport 18"s though, with RFT's so quite firm :-| . So what do you do if you get a flat? are you carrying a spare? boot's big enough... yet another reason to love the coupe :inlove:

Yeah I had a 120i so now in the 3.0si the performance is awesome! need to come feel it at the coast though.

U welcome to come to the coast, bro.
At the moment no spare- going to put together a mobility pack.
Need to get new wiper blades and refurb a curbed mag. Then she'll be hundreds!
I also have a 320i which is my daily drive- still a pleasurable drive despite the performance inferiority compared to the z4.
Any z4 coup fanatics in durbs?

Your car is amazing!!!!!!!!! I'm thinking of maybe upgrading to a 2005/6 3.0 z4 would love the coupe though. Only thing is I would use it as my primary car. Bad idea? I'm 22 at the moment so now would be the right time hahahaha.

I am just worried about using it as a primary car. I put like +-15000km a year on my car currently. Any feed back is it better to be kept as a second car?

Wes, its no big hassle to use it as a daily driver, as long as u got decent secure parking at work. Fuel consumption averages between 10.5-11l/100km. If u a big chap u not going to fit comfortably- I find it snug!
Since I got the car I've done the ffg:
Wiper blades R120 (Goldwagen)- stealers didn't have stock
Wscreen washer pump R250 (Sparesboyz) -old one was leaking
Microfilter R250 (goldwagen)- stealers wanted R750!
Air filter R450 (stealers)
Oil service R1000 (stealers) - cud have done myself but I wanted them to do a thorough check.

Still to do:
Refurb curbed mag
Bonnet rattling

The black exterior/ beige interior is a pain to keep clean! Have to wash twice a week!

All in all, what else can u get for R200 k that has such a blend of intoxicating looks, performance, handling and relatively low running costs?

It aint got a back seat, so u stay out of trouble, wit regards to panty droppin:roflol:

Thank you so much.

I dont use my car really during the week only weekends and thats highway drive home on the Friday and back to durbs on the Monday so the fuel consumption isnt a prob. I guess you have to sacrifice a lil fuel money for the performance etc and that I am more than willing to do. I am hoping there will be a few at the parade on Saturday so I can have a closer look.

I will look around and when I find the right one I'll know.

Thanks and again your car looks AMAZING.....

Nice ride, how's the performance compared to the usual GTI's, OPC's and ST's?

Well, I haven't come up against those cars at the TLGP. Then again I don't go out of my way to look for a dice.
But on paper it'll beat any of them (stock). Depends on your launching technique I guess!
Rwd, 195kw, 1400 kg
0-100 in 6.0 seconds
That's adequate enough!:fencelook:
