Z4 3.0Si Roadster Performance Query

Its cool Nasser, the race took place infront of Athlone stadium with 100s of spectators in watch. The distance was about 800m. I only just edged the R8 by a fender at the line at an indicated 220! From the line I take a car and half out of the R8 to the top of 2nd gear and then 3rd and 4th gear the R8 comes back at me.
The Porsche Carrera was an 04/05 model I think and this race was on the N7 with a few friends. One of the Chiptuners here arranged this race as he brough a 260kW Golf 5 out to play too. On a standing start I would kill the Golf and take a car length out of the Porker until 3rd gear where the Carrera would pull up to my door. 4th gear he'd creep up to level out with me and as soon as I hook 5th gear, the Porsche walks away. I manage 210 in my 4th. As for the Golf 5. That car passed me at around 230 and closed on the Carrera but could not pass.
Did this run twice and best result I got was a bumper ahead on 1km with the Carrera.
There is no way the Z3 could go topend with any of these cars, the only car I ran close ontop was a 4 pipe M3 who regularly races with CSL induction, exhaust and a carbon vented bonnet. I ran with this M3 deep into my 5th gear and again, around 240 he leaves me, nothing I can do to keep up!
So is it that hard to believe that an already light car, my license disc says 1230kg, with some mods can sprint with these cars and edge some of them.
I gained around 12 to 13kW with the zors and filter over stock. I also removed dead weight like the spare wheel and cradle underneath the car, the HUGE window washer bottle (ask any Z3 owner how huge this is) and the toolkit and mouldings in the boot. You know when you throw all of these things on a scale, collectively they weigh around R80kgs!!!!
Speak to Hassan from Gatesville with the black R8 and ask him what the blue GP registered Z3 did with on Klipfontein Road. If he is an honorable guy he will own up.
Also ask Ahmed B with the white E46 M3 with GTR bonnet and CSL mods what the blue Z3 did with him infront of Vangate mall. Both ways.

Maybe instead of getting a 530d I should just get a Z3 3.0... Then I'll have the fastest car in the woooorld! :rollsmile::fencelook:

I also used alot of common sense and even with mods I dont think there is any way a Z3 is beating the likes of an R8, Porsche, etc. Not unless either they weren't even trying/you have something real special under the bonnet like a 2JZ twin turbo :fencelook:

Im not taking sides here because the story does seem somewhat implausible
but anything can happen on the street because there are so many factors at play...
If Turbo6 is a seasoned racer and can launch like a mofo he could upstage a few big boys who are let down by their drivers...
