Z3 Hood Latch problem

My 1998 Z3 hood latch jammed and not opening the hood.

I believe this is a common problem with Z3 & Z4's.

I have removed the latch lever and detached the cable so as to be able to pull the cable with pliers - no matter how hard I pull the latches don't pop open.

I removed the front grilles to get access to the cable - pulled the cable sleeve and the passenger side latch popped open but the driver side latch will not pop open.

It seems that if I remove the headlight cluster this will give me access to the latch.

I removed the front wheel and cover only to find there is no access there to the headlight cluster.

Is there any way of removing the headlight cluster from the outside ?

Would this give me access to the latch ?

Any assistance or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately not.....I know he'd love to though....

Probably some other Ahmed as Century motors is owned by some Bhamjee's so maybe one of their sons :dunno:
