Yellow Oil light on E46

Hi guys

I have checked my oil level and it is fine, but the yellow oil light goes on when i start the car and goes away while im driving, anybody had similar problems, I read on another forum that it could be the oil level sensor, can anybody confirm.

Could be the sensor on it's way out. How long do you drive before the light goes out? Does the light die if you let the car idle for 3 minutes or so?

I drove for about 10 minutes then it went off, so i checked the oil level and it was fine. So i guess the list of factory defects goes on.......

Mine also does this, I have learnt to only take notice when it stays on
